Mrs Stringer completed her Diploma in Play Therapy in 2005. Since that time she has continued to practise as both a play therapist and trainer and she is currently employed by the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF). She is a member of the British Association of Play Therapists.

A bit about Play Therapy
Play therapy is generally employed with children aged 3 through 11 and provides a way for them to express their experiences and feelings through a natural, self-guided, self-healing process. As children’s experiences and knowledge are often communicated through play, it becomes an important vehicle for them to know and accept themselves and others.

I am a Play and Filial Therapist and I also have extensive social work experience with children and families. I work with children in the care system and their carers or in preparation for adoptive placement. I have supported children after disruptions and children and their carers/parents when placements are fragile.
